Common questions
Is my data private?
Yes. Pathium is local-first: your data stays on your device (and your iCloud, if you enable it). We don't collect it, use analytics, or sell it. Apple food analysis runs on supported devices without sending your meal to a third-party AI provider. Optional own-key AI food and AI Workout/Plan features send only the content you choose directly to the configured provider. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
Why are my calories estimated?
Without an Apple Watch supplying measured energy, Pathium estimates calories from the activity type, your body weight, and duration. With a Watch contributing data, the figure is measured instead.
Why isn't my route recording?
GPS routes need Location permission and a good signal. Check Settings → Permissions → Location, and give it a moment outdoors to get an accurate fix.
How do I change a permission later?
Settings → Permissions shows each one with its status and an Enable button. If a permission was turned off, that button takes you straight to iOS Settings.
How do I back up my data?
Go to Settings → Data & Backup and tap Create Full Backup. It captures everything (exercises, workouts, programs, history, photos, and settings) so you can set Pathium back up on a new phone. Use Restore from Backup to bring a backup file back in. Because your data lives on your device, keeping a backup protects it if you change or reset your phone.
How do I save a timer or stopwatch?
On a Countdown or Interval page, saved presets live in a list below the live timer. Tap + to add a custom one or pick from the library. For a stopwatch, run it, then tap + to save the time and laps.
Can I start things with Siri?
Yes. Say something like “Start Outdoor Walk in Pathium” to launch a saved activity, workout, or timer preset by name. Settings → Siri & Shortcuts opens the system Shortcuts app so you can customize the phrases.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings → Data & Backup → Danger Zone → Clear All Data. It permanently erases everything on this device after you confirm Delete Everything. Back up first if there's any chance you'll want it back.
Where is the in-app manual?
Tap the gear icon on any tab, then Help & Guide. The manual is a searchable reference for every screen, and you can replay the Welcome Tour from there. A web version of the manual is coming soon to this site.
What do I need to run Pathium?
An iPhone running iOS 26.4 or later. On devices that support Apple Intelligence, you can also use Pathium's AI features.
