Rest Templates & Sleep

Reusable rest presets — manual or timed — plus Sleep's own bedtime/wake schedule, real alarm, and bedtime reminder.

Your rest presets

Recover → Rest lists your saved rest presets — a massage gun session, stretching, sun, a nap, and so on — each showing its mode and length. Tap the play button to start one, tap a row to edit it, and swipe right to favorite or left to delete.

Recover → Rest, with four timer presets.

Creating a rest template

  1. Tap + → Add Rest for a blank template, or Browse Library for a built-in one — Massage Gun, Stretch, Sun, Nap, Sleep, Wind Down, and more.
  2. Pick an Activity type first — it sets a sensible default engine — then a mode: Manual (optionally "Equipment assisted") or Timer (a set duration).

Row subtitles show the mode at a glance, e.g. "Manual · Equipment assisted" or "Timer · 2 min". Sleep is the one exception — it always uses its own bedtime/wake schedule below instead of Manual/Timer.

Sleep: the Schedule list

Choosing the Sleep activity type replaces the mode picker with a list of schedule cards — Pathium's version of Apple Health's Sleep Schedule, one card per group of days:

  • Pause Alarms, above the cards, silences every schedule at once without changing any of their individual settings — turn it off and everything picks back up exactly as it was configured, handy for a vacation.
  • Every card shows its days (Everyday, Weekdays, Weekends, or a custom set), its Bedtime/Wake times, and an Edit button.
  • Add Schedule creates a new card for whichever days aren't already covered by another one — it's hidden once every day has a card.
  • A day always belongs to exactly one card — giving a day to a new or different card takes it away from whichever card had it before.

Editing a schedule card

Tapping a card (or Edit) opens its own editor:

  • Days Active — the same day-letter selector, scoped to just this card.
  • The bedtime ↔ wake ring — drag either end-cap to change just that time, or drag anywhere else on the ring to slide both together and keep the same length of sleep, the way Apple Health's own ring works.
  • Alarm Options — a per-card Alarm on/off, Alarm Sound (Apple's own default tone or any of Pathium's bundled sounds, with a tap-to-preview), a Snooze on/off, and a Snooze Duration (1–30 minutes, your own length instead of a fixed default).
  • Delete Schedule removes the card — its days simply have no alarm afterward, until you give them to another card.

Additional Details

Below the schedule cards:

  • Bedtime Reminder — a plain heads-up notification a set number of minutes before each day's scheduled bedtime (default 30), useful on nights you don't manually log going to bed.
  • Sleep Goal — how much sleep you're aiming for; used for the "you'll hit your goal" message shown while editing a card's times.

"Going to bed now?"

Tapping the play button on a Sleep rest (or "Start Sleep" in its editor) opens a one-night screen. If you already have a schedule, it is seeded from today's schedule card's wake time but adjustable, for a night you're going to bed earlier or later than usual. If you have no schedule yet, it defaults to Start Sleep Tracking, which just times your sleep with no alarm; tap Add Alarm Instead to set a wake time.

  1. Adjust the wake time if needed, then tap Set Alarm. If you moved it away from the seeded time, a confirmation explains this only changes tonight's alarm before it commits — your regular schedule is never touched.
  2. The screen switches to a live "Asleep Until" countdown, and a bedtime entry is logged to History right away.
  3. Stopping the alarm the next morning finalizes that History entry with your actual wake time; the regular recurring schedule resumes for that weekday going forward — a "going to bed now" night is always just a one-time override, never a change to the schedule card itself.
  4. Cancel Alarm on the countdown screen cancels tonight's alarm outright — the regular schedule then resumes on its own next sync rather than staying off.
