Exercises

Your exercise library — every move you can add to a workout, with its own defaults, form media, and muscle map.

Browsing your library

Train → Exercises shows every exercise you own. Use the search field to filter by name, or tap the sort/filter button to narrow by type, movement pattern, muscle, or equipment.

  • Manual order — drag to reorder your own list.
  • Favorites — show only exercises you've starred.
  • A–Z / Z–A — alphabetical sorting.

Creating an exercise

  1. Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Choose Add Exercise for a blank exercise, or Browse Library to start from a built-in one.
  3. A new exercise opens straight into edit mode with its name selected — type the name and it saves automatically.

The exercise editor

Every exercise opens as a popup sheet with a colored header at the top and its settings below, all in one scrollable page.

Under the name, Start Exercise runs the exercise on its own. EXERCISE TYPE then sets how it is done: Reps (count repetitions), Log (record what you actually did each set), or Timer (hold or work for a set time).

  • Star (top-left) — mark as a favorite so it surfaces in the Favorites sort.
  • Share (top-left) — export this exercise as a file you can send or import into another copy of Pathium.
  • Done (top-right) — saves and closes.
  • Glyph — tap the icon next to the name to pick a new symbol.
  • Name — tap and type to rename.
  • Start Exercise — runs this exercise on its own, outside of any workout.
The exercise editor: star, share, and Done in the header; settings below.

Sets, reps, and left/right

SETTINGS lists Sets, Reps (or time), Weight, and Rest, each with − and + and a switch that decides whether that value is applied when the exercise is added to a workout. Vary by set lets each set have its own target. Turn on Left / Right Exercise for movements done one side at a time: placed in a workout, it offers separate Left and Right items so the workout alternates sides for you.

Default settings

Below the header, Default Exercise Settings (or Default Exercise Goals, for rep-based exercises you want to track) sets what a fresh copy of this exercise starts with wherever it's added — sets, reps or timer duration, weight, and rest between sets.

Form, muscles, and directions

  • FORM — attach a photo or video demonstrating the movement (Add Form Media), or swap it later with Replace Form Media.
  • MUSCLES WORKED — shown automatically once the exercise has muscle tags, with a highlighted body map.
  • DIRECTIONS — free-form step-by-step cues for how to perform the movement.
  • TAGS — exercise type, movement pattern, and equipment tags used by search/filter.

Deleting an exercise

Scroll to the bottom of the editor and tap Delete Exercise, then confirm. This removes it from your library and from every workout that uses it, so check where it is used first. Back up beforehand if you might want it back.
