Activities & GPS Tracking
Runs, walks, rides, hikes, and sports — tracked with GPS route, pace, distance, and elevation.
Browsing and adding activities
Move has three segments: Activities, Sports, and Explore. Activities lists everything you track outdoors or indoors — Walking, Running, Hiking, Cycling, and Indoor Cycling to start — with the same search and filter tools as Train. Each row shows what it tracks, like Distance · Pace · Route · Elevation.
- Tap + → Add Activity for a blank one, or Browse Library to start from a built-in activity type.
- Tap a row to edit it, or tap the play button to start it immediately.
- Sort options: Manual Order, Favorites, A–Z, Z–A.
- Swipe a row right to favorite it, left to delete it.
Sports, next to Activities, holds team and racquet sports — basketball, tennis, golf, and more. It starts empty: tap + to add a sport, or Browse Sports Library.
The activity editor
Same popup style as Train: an accent header with star/share/Done and the glyph/name, then Start Activity right below, with everything else in a scrollable list.
- Apple Health — which activity type this logs as (Running, Cycling, Skiing, etc.).
- GOAL — None, Time, or Distance, with quick presets (10/20/30/45/60/90 min, or 1/2/3/5 mi, 10K, Half).
- TRACKING — toggle GPS Route, Distance, Pace / Speed, Elevation, and Steps individually, plus Added Weight if you carry a pack or vest.
Starting an activity
Outdoor activities open a Ready to move? screen. It says to head outside and let GPS settle, and lists WHAT'S AHEAD.
- Tap I'm Ready.
- The tracking screen opens. At first it shows Acquiring GPS Signal — move outside or near a window for the best accuracy. The map and route appear as soon as a location fix arrives.
The live tracking screen
- Top bar — X ends the activity, the center pill is the elapsed time, and the speaker button controls audio cues.
- GPS REC — a red dot while the route is recording; it reads PAUSED when you pause. Your heart rate shows on the right when a Watch or sensor is connected.
- The map follows you and draws your route. The compass shows your heading. The round button on the right toggles between following you and an overview of your whole route; if you drag the map yourself, it becomes a re-center arrow.
- The stat panel shows DISTANCE, CALORIES, and STEPS on top, and PACE, SPEED, and ELEVATION below, for the activities that track them.
- Controls — Previous (left), Pause or Resume (center), and the check mark to finish.
Finishing
- Tap the check mark. Pathium asks Complete activity? — This will save this activity to your history.
- Tap Complete to save it, or Cancel to keep going.
A summary opens straight away. See Activity Summary & Explorer for what it shows.
